The EDGE Project

The EDGE Project Aldershot ran from 2015 - 2020 supporting young people through enhancing their learning and skills.

Using film and media, The EDGE Project worked in collaboration with The British Army, Grainger Plc, Royal British Legion, The Wessex Heritage Trust, The BIG Lottery and The Heritage Lottery Fund to keep history alive.

War Town 

Film Documentary 

A film documentary on the history of Aldershot in World War I.  Click below to watch the full film. 

EDGE of Time 

An art exhibition of the historical buildings in Aldershot with students from the University for the Creative Arts, Farnham.  

Function to Fashion

The Thomas Burberry story of the trench coat.  A timeline exhibition at The Basingstoke Festival. 

Heritage Open Days

Secret Aldershot

A photography exhibition and book signing for author, Paul Vickers held at the Aldershot Enterprise Centre with students from Farnborough 6th Form College.

Boxing Days - Miniseries 

A film documentary series of the lives of boxers in the Britsh Army.

Princes Hall Exhibition

A photography exhibition held at the Princes Hall theatre in Aldershot. 

Armed Forces Boxing Championships

Our young people promoted and filmed the Armed Forces Boxing Tournament for Forces TV

Academy of Hard Knocks

 Nick Blackwell

Former boxer, Nick Blackwell visits Aldershot and runs motivation talks, sparring sessions and training with our young people the boxers from the British Army Boxing Team.

Charity football match fundraiser.

Exploring space through workshops, baking and trips to the Alexander Observatory in Aldershot.
